Moreover, we select tutors who are passionate and committed to helping you succeed!

You will work with your Tutor to schedule sessions that are mutually convenient. They can be at night or on weekends.

Yes, in many cases we will assign you more than one tutor, including if you have a short window to study or if we feel two tutors would be best given the subjects that need to be covered.

Yes! We have a score improvement guarantee. If you sign up for 25 hours or more and your score does not increase, we will work with you for 10 additional hours at NO CHARGE!

How many hours you need depends on your situation. The beauty of one-on-one tutoring is that we tailor our program to your needs. Most students sign up for at least 25 hours because they want to maximize their score, but some sign-up as few as two hours because they just need help with study planning.

The Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination (COMLEX) is the osteopathic equivalent to the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE), which allopathic students take. Osteopathic students are in a unique position when it comes time to take your board exams. While they must complete the COMLEX-USA Levels 1, 2, and 3 to receive licensure as a DO, osteopathic students also have the opportunity to take the USMLE as well.

Since every student is different and begins tutoring at varying starting points, predicting score increases is challenging. However, all of our students see significant improvement after tutoring. Regardless of when you come to MedSchoolCoach, we will help you get a better score. In fact, we believe in this so strongly that we have a score increase guarantee.

The COMLEX-USA Level 3 is typically taken during the first year of residency and is a 2-day exam that assesses independent practice readiness. It consists of approximately 420 multiple-choice questions and 26 computer-based clinical decision-making (CDM) cases. Day 1 focuses on foundational and clinical science knowledge applied to patient care, while Day 2 emphasizes advanced clinical problem-solving, diagnosis, and management in diverse healthcare settings. Content spans all major disciplines—including internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, OB/GYN, psychiatry, emergency medicine, public health, and osteopathic principles/OMM—with attention to continuity of care, patient safety, and health systems. Scoring is Pass/Fail, confirming the ability to provide safe and effective osteopathic medical care without supervision.

The COMLEX-USA Level 2-CE is usually taken during the fourth year of medical school and is a 9-hour exam consisting of 352 multiple-choice questions, divided into 8 sections of 44 questions each with scheduled breaks after every two sections. The exam emphasizes clinical decision-making and problem-solving, testing the application of medical knowledge in patient presentations and scenarios. Content areas include internal medicine, surgery, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, psychiatry, emergency medicine, and osteopathic principles/OMM, with integration of preventive medicine, ethics, and health systems. Like Level 1, scoring is Pass/Fail, assessing readiness for residency training.

The COMLEX-USA Level 1 is typically taken after the second year of medical school and is an 8-hour exam consisting of 352 multiple-choice questions, divided into 8 sections of 44 questions each with scheduled breaks after every two sections. The test is problem- and symptom-based, focusing on applying foundational biomedical and osteopathic sciences to clinical scenarios.
